What is the first thing people see when they walk through your front door? Is it welcoming or is it a little scary? Regardless of your space you want people to feel good about coming into your home.
I've seen a lot of suggestions that say if you have a proper entryway you should hang a mirror. I'm not much of a mirror person. Personally I like to see a great picture when I walk into a home. Something that makes a statement about who lives in this house.
What about the door you use when you come home? Do you enter from a garage and into a mud room or laundry room? No matter where you enter your home you should also feel welcomed, like this is the place you've been waiting all day to be. I would say that this is great place to hang a beautiful photograph. A picture of something that makes you smile or remember a grand time.
Make your home inviting to yourself and to all those who enter. Little things can make a big difference.
