When it comes to furnishing and decorating your home spending less is not going to get you more. Especially when you are looking for lasting quality. From a personal point of view I would rather have less, but purchase items that are quality and that I will love for long time.
Following that idea I find that I prefer uncluttered spaces. I like a room that is more minimal in its design and decor. In a decor that is more minimal the pieces that you do have can stand out and be better appreciated. Your color palette and the textures you incorporate can add warmth to the room or if you prefer a cooler atmosphere.
Well placed accent pieces and works of art will add to the overall feel and atmosphere. Plus they will stand out in a less cluttered room. By choosing your art well there isn't a need to clutter your home with pieces that are okay, but that you really lack a lasting connection to them. Choose well, let the art speak to you so that you can enjoy it and your room for years to come.
